What Is Maze Escape?
Maze Escape is a navigation and speed game with 15 increasingly complex levels. The first maze is 6x8 cells, and each level grows a little until the final 18x30 challenge. Each map is generated when you play, so memorising one route will not help next time.
Finishing quickly earns stars and points: three stars are worth 300 points, two earn 200 and one earns 100. All 15 levels play back to back, so a run with three stars on every level reaches 4,500 points.
How to Play
- On a computer, press an arrow key or WASD once and the character runs to the next junction on its own. On a phone or tablet, swipe in any direction; swipe again while running and it turns at the next junction.
- You start in the top-left corner and the exit is marked with a red flag. The timer begins as soon as the level opens. On larger mazes the camera follows you, and the Map button shows the whole maze.
- Complete each maze before its star thresholds pass to maximise your score.
- Spend 100 points on Show Path to reveal part of the remaining route.
- Your current level and score are saved in the browser, so you can continue later.
Maze-Solving Strategies
- Pause for a moment and locate the exit before making your first move.
- Prioritise corridors that move you generally closer to the target.
- Mentally mark dead ends so you do not enter the same branch twice.
- Queue your next turn while running: the character takes it the moment it reaches the junction.
- Keep the right-hand wall rule as a reliable fallback, not your fastest method.
- Save path hints for the larger levels where 100 points buy more useful information.
- On large mazes, tap Map first to see where the exit is before you set off.

What happens after level 10?

No. It costs 100 points and animates only part of the remaining route, so you still need to finish the navigation.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your level and score are stored in your browser. You can continue later or choose Start Over.
